Extruded pulley components
Cold extrusion technology offers a cost-effective alternative in the production of aluminum pulleys. In addition to reducing the amount of steps in production, it also offers the following advantages:
- No milling of the teeth required
- High surface quality of the tooth geometry (Ra 0.5 to 4.0)
- Final contour accuracy production of functional surfaces
- Hardening T6 after pressing (if required)
- Integrated flanged wheel (one-sided) = no mounting required
- Extruded frictional elements (keyway and driver)
- Maximum component size 80 mm
In combination with CNC post-processing the complex geometry of parts can be produced at low production costs.
